Stride connects with your favorite training devices and platforms to automatically sync your activities and data. Here’s how to connect each service:

Garmin Connect

Garmin provides the most comprehensive integration with Stride, syncing both activities and allowing workout downloads.

What Syncs from Garmin

  • ✅ All cycling activities (indoor and outdoor)
  • ✅ Running, hiking, and other activities
  • ✅ Power, heart rate, and cadence data
  • ✅ GPS routes and maps
  • ✅ Device-recorded metrics

What You Can Send to Garmin

  • ✅ Structured workouts for your Edge or watch
  • ✅ Training plans

Go to Account Settings

Navigate to Account → Integrations in the Stride web app

Click Connect next to Garmin

You’ll be redirected to Garmin Connect to authorize Stride

Log in to Garmin Connect

Use your Garmin Connect credentials (not your Stride login)

Authorize Stride

Review and accept the permissions Stride needs

Return to Stride

You’ll be redirected back and see a checkmark next to Garmin

Sync Timing: Activities typically appear in Stride within 5-10 minutes of uploading to Garmin Connect.

Wahoo SYSTM

Wahoo integration provides activity sync and the ability to push workouts to your ELEMNT device.

What Syncs from Wahoo

  • ✅ All activities from ELEMNT devices
  • ✅ Indoor trainer sessions
  • ✅ Power, heart rate, and cadence data
  • ✅ GPS data from outdoor rides

What You Can Send to Wahoo

  • ✅ Individual workouts to ELEMNT devices
  • ✅ Full training plans to Wahoo SYSTM

Whoop

Whoop provides recovery and readiness data to help optimize your training.

What Syncs from Whoop

  • ✅ HRV (Heart Rate Variability)
  • ✅ Resting heart rate
  • ✅ Sleep data
  • ✅ Recovery scores
  • ✅ Strain data

Whoop doesn’t record cycling activities - you’ll still need a bike computer or the Stride app for that.

Strava integration enhances your activities with social features and segment matching.

Important: What Strava Does and Doesn’t Do

Strava does NOT sync your activity data to Stride. You need Garmin, Wahoo, or the Stride app to record activities.

What Syncs with Strava

  • ✅ Activity names and descriptions (both ways)
  • ✅ Routes for route matching
  • ✅ Stride activities upload to Strava
  • ❌ Strava activities do NOT download to Stride

Manual File Upload

If you use a device that doesn’t integrate directly, you can upload .FIT files manually.

Supported File Types

  • ✅ .FIT files (recommended)
  • ✅ .TCX files
  • ✅ .GPX files (route only, no data)

How to Upload

  1. Go to Activities in Stride
  2. Click Upload Activity (cloud icon)
  3. Select your .FIT file
  4. Wait for processing
  5. Edit activity details if needed

Troubleshooting Sync Issues

Activities Not Appearing

  1. Check Connection Status: Ensure the integration shows a checkmark
  2. Force Sync: In the device’s native app, manually sync first
  3. Wait 10 Minutes: Some syncs can take time
  4. Re-authorize: Disconnect and reconnect the integration

Missing Data

  • Ensure your device is recording all data streams (power, HR, cadence)
  • Check that sensors are paired to your device before starting
  • Verify the activity uploaded successfully to the device’s platform first

Sync Delays

Normal sync times:

  • Garmin: 5-10 minutes
  • Wahoo: 5-15 minutes
  • Whoop: Updates every few hours
  • Manual Upload: Immediate
